The app intersperses user photos with historical images for a unique keepsake.

One way to enjoy Time Shutter is to browse the embedded Google map, which has pins of the numerous historical sites available. Tap on each pin to get a photo of what it looked like in the past. Time Shutter’s best feature is the transition shot, which is achieved by double tapping on the full image. The old photo fades away while a modern image takes shape.
For those who want to create this effect for themselves, Time Shutter allows users to take pictures of city landmarks with the outline of the former building in the lens view. Upload and then share your own creations.
