Shark Dash applies a successful formula with flawless execution for another hit game. The physics-based game for iOS and Android has leaped to the top of the bestseller lists on the App Store and Google Play.
Generally rubber ducks are a cute, innocent toy that bring joy to children everywhere. Not in this game. You play as a shark who is having a leisurely time in the bathtub until a horde of rubber ducks invade the fun.
It is time to chow down in order to stop the madness. You do this by grabbing the shark by its tail and flinging it through the tub. Along with devouring the ducks, try to scoop up as many coins as possible. The coins will be useful for a large arsenal of upgrades. As is the trend, many of these can be purchased with real money if you can’t resist.
Much like other physics-based games, Shark Dash has levels that require some forethought in order to be successful. There are several objects in and out of the tub that require targeting or working one’s way around. Sometimes knocking them over or running into walls actually brings extra points.
Gameloft has a tried-and-true formula when it comes to games such as this. While sometimes publishers skip some of the details, Shark Dash is one of those games that nails it well. It also has that addictive quality that makes it the kind of game you will want to sneak out when those extra five minutes are available from waiting in line. Or someone could just as much sit down and get lost in an hour of flinging away at the ducks.
