Shark Dash Game to Assist Real-Life Sharks

To jump off the 25th anniversary of Shark Week, Gameloft has partnered with Discovery Channel and the non-profit WildAid to raise awareness and funds for shark conservation.

Gameloft has united with these to groups to offer the popular physics-based puzzle game Shark Dash for free on iOS for a limited time. A free, ad-based version is alongside the full option in Google Play.

Shark Dash is an extremely addictive game with fun and unique cartoon-style designs featuring a lovable toy shark and mischievous rubber duckies. Help Sharkee, the star of the show, take a bite out of illegal wildlife trade in the puzzle. Users will be able to contribute to shark conservation through the new exclusive content made available in the game, such as a new “Fintastic” skin for Sharkee. Google Play users can purchase this skin for $0.99, $4.99, or $24.99. Proceeds are donated to WildAid.

From now until August 18, the end of Shark Week, advocates for the fight against the sale, trade and distribution of shark fins can show their support by signing a pledge and/or donating money to WildAid.

Discovery Channel’s Shark Week is cable’s longest-running programming event and will celebrate its 25th anniversary with eight all-new specials beginning Sunday, August 12 at 9pm ET/PT starting off with the Air Jaws Apocalypse. Information about fighting shark finning can be found at the WildAid site.
