The excellent iOS photo app Snapseed now gives users the ability to post directly to Instagram. The 1.4 update also improves the various photo filters as well as additional language support.
Several other of the most popular filters have also been tweaked. The black and white filter has been updated with new conversion algorithms and color filters for even higher quality results. The Center Focus filter has an added feature to control brightness at the center and at the edges of an image.
The app Snapseed, one of the 2011 iPad apps of the year, brings a useful set of touch-friendly, easy photo editing to the iPad and iPhone. It also seems an ideal fit for posting to Instagram, as many of its quick photo touches have the retro, black-and-white, and multi-colored look of many of the Instagram layers.
A desktop version is also available for Mac and Windows.
