Pholium Creates Digital Picture Books on iPad

Pholium offers a clever way to create a digital version of photo scrapbooks. The iPad app is now free, adding extra incentive to anyone who has fancied photo scrapbooking, but never got around to buying those weird-looking scissors.

Pholium, available exclusively on the iPad, pulls in images from the most popular cloud accounts, such as PhotoStream or Dropbox. Then it is just a matter of moving, tweaking, and rotating images with your fingers on to the virtual photobooks. More technical users can also pull in photos instantly from a Mac connected over WiFi.

The newest edition of Pholium adds the ability to include an unlimited number of photos in each digital book, free sharing through iCloud, and expanded photo titles so users can add text captions on each page.

When making an album you are also able to fine-tune any of the photos and make minor adjustments, such as tweaking the color, contrast, size, or brightness. You can add any title to the album and of course add captions for creating a photo-driven narrative of your vacation or important life event.

Now that it is free, Pholium is highly recommended as a download worth testing out. The new features make it a more well-rounded experience for creating a digital photo album.
