Before you start learning tricks, choose your stance between Regular and Goofy. Regular is for tricks with the left foot forward and Goofy is for tricks with the right foot forward. After that is chosen, you can start learning or improving your skateboarding techniques by choosing the “Tricks” category. Tutorial videos are available to watch the trick being done. You can also watch the tutorial in slow motion if the demonstration is too fast for you.
You have the option of choosing tricks between ollies, manuals, grinds, slides, intermediate grinds, and basic tricks. Some of the tricks include the 50-50, nosegrind, backside noseslide, front side feeble, 360 kickflip, and many more. A glossary of all the trick terms is available as well to provide further details on them.
There are videos on learning the trick, tips, variations on the trick, and rider info. Sufficient information is provided to become a pro in skateboarding.
The advantage of this app is that professional skateboarders provide tutorial videos of themselves skateboarding. You can find as well a brief history of how they became professional skateboarders. Mark Appleyard, Levi Brown, Darrell Stanton, and Chad Tim Tim make up the pro team.
The “Video” component shows a short clip of skateboarding along ramps, objects, big rocks, and other places.
My friend has been skateboarding for three years and attempted doing all the tricks available on the app. His favorite trick was the frontside crooked grind. This trick is a grind/slide combination with your front truck grinding and the toeside of your nose sliding. It took him a few hours to do this trick but at the end he was a pro at it. I used the “My Trick” section under the Tricks category to record my friend’s trick. The app keeps track of your own videos skateboarding. You can use these to compare your skateboarding with the pro teams skateboarding.
