Feed Me Oil for Mac Review

Feed Me Oil is already one of the most popular titles for iOS. Now on the Mac, the game retains much of the charm and challenge that made it successful.

Feed Me Oil is now on the Mac.

The game’s content is nearly an identical port from the iOS version. Players must manipulate a series of levers, fans, and other objects in order to feed the hungry pipes. Tweaking the objects works great with a multi-touch trackpad. Unfortunately, you can’t click and turn the objects with two fingers like on an iPad or iPhone.

For those who get stuck on some of the more difficult levels, click the question mark to be given hints about where to plant the objects. Those who enjoy puzzle games will enjoy Feed Me Oil – it is excellent for making you think and plot a path to success. In later rounds players will have to draw on a combination of the various objects to successfully move the oil. Players get extra points for any of the unused objects at the end of the round.

Feed Me Oil for Mac also integrates well with OS X Lion – the game runs full-screen and users can easily swipe to another application. The game’s screen size can be reduced, however, if you have a larger monitor or would rather devote the screen real estate to something else.

For those who loved Feed Me Oil on an iPhone or iPad, there is also much to like here. If you have already conquered the game on iOS, it may feel redundant to play through it again on the Mac.
