The app enables the user to find almost any game in any sport and message in real time for free with other sports fans. In each live sporting event rooms can be created for each team and fans can enter the room and tell each other the score, discuss the star players or just talk about their favorite team. The fun of this app is the user can invite friends from Facebook and talk as if they’re sitting right next to you during the game or make new friends in the rooms of this app.
It is amazing how many sporting events are available on PlayUp, including rugby and cricket. There is a calendar to view games on the current week or upcoming week and notifications can be enabled to remind you of games.
PlayUp is a unique app and a fun way to socialize but it begins to get a little slow when there are not many people in rooms to speak with. If friends are invited it can become rather fun and exciting but in public rooms it just isn’t there yet.
Also, when first navigating the app it is difficult to figure out the teams in specific sports because they are flags rather than the team’s recognized emblem.
The overall look of the app seems kind of bland and rather foreign due to the absence of well-known sports symbols and team logos. It could use a definite spruce up in the color area.
PlayUp is great app but will be even better with a wider user base. It’s fun, unique and a great way to socialize while watching sports events.
