Bike Repair App Review

Bike Repair App is a good do-it-yourself guide for those who want to undertake bike repair or increase their maintenance knowledge.

Available for iOS (separate versions for iPhone and iPad) and Android, Bike Repair App attempts to diagnose your bike repair issue by listing multiple symptoms. Tap through these descriptions to arrive at a detailed repair page, which includes photos and pretty easy-to-follow instructions.

The app also includes some tool advice to reduce your chances of breaking something with the wrong equipment. The walk-through also contain graphics of the parts tht are involved with the repair so you don’t have to just flip forward to the full-screen photos.

The app diagnoses physical ailments as well. Just tap the “aches and pains” button and get some suggestions for what may be causing excessive pain in the knees, neck or other areas.

Bike Repair App includes some general educational information. The “Parts” section details many of the main components of a bicycle and provides maintenance tips.

The messages tab has information about app updates or related videos, such as a recent post about how to make one’s own bike repair stand. The information tab includes links to Bike Repair App’s social media profiles as well as related bicycle-themed apps.

For those who are already cycling experts and often wear the tights, Bike Repair App may be a bit too elementary. But for the masses this is a good example of how short-form content or how-to guides may be more useful and easily accessible in mobile app form.
